The CD-ROM Assessment is available in Windows (2000, NT, XP, Vista, Windows 7) or Mac (OS 10.3 and higher) formats. It assesses students' use of all skills and strategies taught in the Student Activity Book. The CD-ROM assessment does not provide instruction.

- Students can choose to hear items read aloud
- Can be used with an unlimited number of students
- Self-administered in 20 to 30 minutes
- Generates 4 types of reports
