Student Activity Book
Designed for students in grades four to eight. The activities can also be used with high school students who have poor writing skills, as well as special needs students from fourth grade on.

The skills covered are consistent with state language arts curricula standards and competency tests.

The student activity book contains 48 sequential activities in which students are taught how to use and apply the TOGO+P Strategy to write factual selections.

T = Select a Topic about which to write.
O = Determine a specific writing Objective that either tells the reader about the topic or explains how to do something related to the topic.           
G = Gather the information needed to meet the objective from reference books, the Internet, and people
O = Organize the information by topic and supporting details.
+P = Write a Paragraph including a topic sentence and supporting detail sentences.

All activities require extensive writing. Lined space is provided on the back of each activity page for additional writing. The plastic coil-bound format allows students to tear out an activity page to hand in while leaving all other activity pages intact.

The Teacher’s Guide includes teaching suggestions, answer keys, and instructional objectives.
